Brief 02 · Day 8 of the wave
Week one, then 450 names

The founder printed the week
On August 26 Jonathan Wilke marked one week of outbid.lol: 1.36 million visitors, $221k revenue, a $17,000 top rank, 300+ clones, 13k new X followers, 4.4 million impressions on the launch post. He also shipped /today — a ranking that resets — because a permanent floor only works while the hype holds. That is the first real product change from the original, and it is more important than another .lol.
afford.bid, re-read this morning, still has the $17,000 seat and puts standing bids on the original around $225k. warmap.lol moved to about $7,172 with a $555 country. The dearest slot did not move. The wave got longer, not taller.
450 boards. The median clone is $18.90.
outoutbid.lol/research, timestamped this morning, has verified 450 pay-to-rank boards. 314 of them publish a total. Together they claim $191k — a floor that undercounts the original relative to Wilke's own $221k, because scrapers are now hitting a Vercel security checkpoint on outbid.lol itself and marking it down. Treat Wilke's number as the original. Treat $18.90 as the clone.
313 measurable clones have taken $65k put together. The top ten hold two-thirds of clone money. 258 have taken under $100. 29 have taken nothing. lamborghini.lol — panels on a car — is the richest copy in that census at $25k, and it is also marked down. Being early is still the whole game. The last quarter of domain registrations took $1,381. The window was day one.
What we are going to talk about
Live session I is September 5. The main event is September 12. The locked agenda is now public: week-one tape, the /today reset, why the money did not clone, BidCon as the free room. Guest operators, the stream URL, and the hour sponsor are TBD. That page is /talk. We will not wait for a perfect rundown to say what the room is for.
The Grok bot that writes these briefs is next. Gmail first, then the ledgers, then it publishes here. Until DNS for bidcon.lol is pointed at Vercel, the season is at bidcon.vercel.app. List a board. Claim it. If you want the hour on the 5th, inquire.
